“Force Without Wisdom Falls of its Own Weight”

In Memory of Paul Castle (1959 - 2011)

Paul Castle was born in Ramsgate, England on January 14, 1959. He joined the Kent Police Force at the age of 18 and served in a variety of capacities including Detective and Training Officer. After his retirement from the Police Force, he moved to the United States to begin his new career as a Tactical Trainer. During the last several years of his life, Paul dealt with cancer but continued to provide his high standard of training. Paul ultimately lost his battle with cancer on September 14, 2011. Paul Castle was an incredibly unique individual - He is sorely missed.

Combining his extensive training and experience with firearms Paul developed the Center Axis Relock (CAR) Shooting System. His dedication and passion for teaching the CAR System was based on his unwavering belief that the System could help save lives. Considering there are documented cases where Police Officers involved in shootings believe the CAR System contributed to their survival, Paul’s belief seems justified. Paul’s legacy, The CAR Shooting System will live on.
